What our listing labels mean, where profile information comes from, when it was checked, and what buyers must still verify independently.
Important: Inclusion in EOTConnect is not an approval, engineering certification, supplier qualification, capability guarantee or endorsement.
Listing labels
Four labels with different levels of review
Basic profile reviewed by a contact
Company contact has reviewed or updated basic profile information. A claim does not prove technical capability.
Identity information checked
Website, business contact and company identity information have been checked. This does not qualify the company for a particular project.
Selected documents reviewed
Selected capability documents or certifications have been reviewed. This is not an engineering certification or endorsement.

Where listing information comes from
EOTConnect profiles may be assembled from public sources available when the record is created or updated.
- Official company websites and contact pages
- Public product, service and capability pages
- Public catalogues, brochures or certification references
- Public business directories, trade listings or industry records
- Information submitted by a company contact through a claim or correction request
Source quality varies. A product category means relevant public information was found; it does not prove present manufacturing capacity, ownership, certification validity or suitability.
Date last checked
How review dates should be read
Where available, a listing shows the date its public source or basic profile information was last checked. The date does not mean every fact was reconfirmed, and company websites, products, locations and contacts may change after that date. Buyers should confirm current information directly.
Claiming a profile
How a company contact can claim or update a listing
A company representative can use the Correct / claim action in the directory or the contact form. EOTConnect may request a business email matching the company domain, an official website reference, or another reasonable identity signal before changing the status.
Claiming a profile allows basic information to be reviewed or corrected. It does not create a recommendation, preferred-supplier status or technical approval.
What checked means
A check applies only to the stated information
Business identity checked means EOTConnect checked the relationship between a website, business contact and company identity information available at that time. Documents reviewed means selected submitted or public documents were inspected for their stated existence and relevance. Neither label confirms the accuracy of every claim or continued validity of a document.
What EOTConnect does not certify
Important limits of directory information
- Engineering design, structural adequacy or crane safety
- Manufacturing capacity, workmanship or quality systems
- Compliance with laws, standards, licences or statutory requirements
- Financial standing, ownership, insurance or commercial reliability
- Certification validity beyond the specific material reviewed
- Project references, delivery performance, service response or suitability for a buyer's application
