EOT Crane Document Handover Register
Quick Answer
Before final EOT crane acceptance, collect approved drawings, electrical schematics, BOM and makes list, datasheets, FAT report, load test certificate, SAT report, snag closure sheet, O&M manual, lubrication and maintenance schedules, spares list, warranty certificate, service contacts, and training records.
Missing documents create long-term maintenance problems. The crane may run today, but without drawings, manuals, certificates, and spares data, the buyer becomes dependent on memory and vendor goodwill.
Documents to Track
| Document | Required Stage | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Approved GA drawing | Before manufacturing | Locks geometry and approval basis. |
| Electrical schematic and panel drawing | Before dispatch | Needed for troubleshooting. |
| BOM and makes final list | Before dispatch | Confirms supplied components. |
| FAT and SAT reports | Dispatch and final acceptance | Acceptance evidence. |
| Load test certificate | Before final acceptance | Proof of tested capacity. |
| O&M manual and schedules | Before final acceptance | Supports safe operation and maintenance. |
| Warranty and service contacts | Before final acceptance | Controls support after handover. |
Buyer Rule
- Do not release final payment only because the crane is moving.
- Use a document register with received/approved status.
- Keep snag closure and final documentation together.
- Ask for editable and PDF copies where practical.
